Bury Your Plants Alive Tee

Mother Culture

Our mother culture is a mini rainforest we've grown at our farm for several years. This mini ecosystem contains a high genetic diversity of microbial species that act as the probiotic for the soil.

Biochar is a carbon negative amendment that microbes love as a home. Biochar also superior aeration and water retentive properties.

Worm Castings

Worm Castings and compost feed the beneficial microbes that produce, store and slowly release nutrients for your plant.

What is the shelf life and how do I store it?

Left unopened, our soil is good for at least 1 year in its bag. We'd prefer you open it and use it of course.

How often will I need to water this soil?

It's best to water the soil when the top 2 inches are dry. If you're in doubt, water less often. The soil will keep your plant hydrated for longer.

Can I use this soil for outdoor plants?

Yes you can! This soil works great for both indoor and outdoor plants.

Why plant parents love Mother

I used Mother soil on my mint and basil plants. I'm super happy with the results so far. This time the plants look super healthy compared to previous times I've tried growing them with store-bought soil. I feel I'm in good hands and needless to say, I'm a happy customer!

I’m a graduate student researching biochar and soil infiltration. Seeing biochar-based soil caught my eye. It has excellent drainage but still holds moisture. The added microbes are a plus since many other mixes come sterile. I’ve had zero problems with fungus gnats or other pests and diseases!

I’ve used Mother with several of my favorite plants; they all thrive! I’m getting new growth from nodes from which I didn’t expect fresh leaves, and they look healthy. Mother has benefitted both recently propagated babies and well-established plants. I like that I don’t have to think about fertilizing my plants because Mother is a complete, living ecosystem!
