Seems to be quite good! All the starter plants I reported are thriving. I will repurchase.
This is excellent soil fir starting your new babies in, as well for your smaller plants that dont drain well. Have never been so impressed with a company in my life. I will be ordering many more bags in the future!
Brought my pilea back to life and it grew sooo much! Even my raven zz that hadn’t had a new leaf in like 2 years grew new leaves!
I had plants that were surviving, but not thriving. 3 weeks ago I put 1-2” of Mother Soil at the bottom of all my plants, and they are noticeably happier.
I am a long time plant lover and have been truly amazed at my plants response to Mother Soil. I recently adopted a few of my son's plants and immediately transplanted them into Mother Soil - they are thriving! It's really incredible!
The soil looks so rich. If I needed soil to grow, I would put my feet in it!
I wanted better soil for a few houseplants, especially my new jade plant. Its only been a few days, but he seems to look happier. ;-)
I killed my other spider plant. I decided to try Mother and my new spider plant is thriving.
Hands down the quickest I have ever seen a soil change the condition of a plant. The results are astounding - new growth, deep shiny leaves, new flowers. Changed in weeks, not months. Its my first suggestion to a houseplant lover who struggles because they don't know when to water. Thanks Mother Team!
This medium is a literal life saver. I had a very expensive aroid that was suffering. Its newest leaf rotting before it even got big enough to unfurl. I took a chance and potted it in 100% mother and within 2 weeks a new leaf was emerging and is now larger than the other leaf on it. It’s shimmering and flawless. While I recommend adding perlite to the mix it did not seem to hurt my aroid not adding it. Since then I have rerpotted a few plants in this and added some as a medium additive to others when my supply ran low. Results have all been positive so for and I have placed a 2nd, soon to be 3rd order. I fully trust Mother with my rarest plants after this. Try it at your own risk but for me it works great.
I keep buying it again and again. The soil is great and very forgiving to my plants. It makes up for what I lack in green thumb.
Absolutely recommend mother soil, it does what it promises and that's it! Is hard to find a soil this good at this price point so I was very very happy with the results! Will definitely stock up!
Mother Soil for my plants has been like a can of spinach to the cartoon sailor, Popeye!
My epipremnum pinnatum albo (variegated cebu blue) needed a repot to a bigger vessel after just a little over a month, and has been growing so consistently for the past year- and I had this plant potted in Mother Soil since the day I purchased the little guy! I absolutely love the darker tones of the biochar soil, and it holds water really well. I have a tendency to underwater my plants lately, and Mother Soil is an ideal for that habit.
The folks working at Mother Soil have been so helpful, informative, and encouraging as well.

Mother Soil has been an unbelievable source of nutrition and growth for my plants. I consider it a "superfood" and it's now my go-to soil.
Before using Mother Soil I did not realize how bad other soils on the market were. In just 3 weeks of using Mother, I saw my healthy plants getting healthier, and my unhealthy plants sprouting new, healthy growth.
The attached picture is of a plant that was struggling ever since I got it. The leaves were turning yellow, the plant wasn't growing, and whatever I tried it was not showing signs of improvement. I decided to switch the soil to Mother Soil and within 3 weeks I saw new, healthy growth.
Customer service has also been great. Really happy with my experience!
Thanks Mother Soil!!
This potting soil is more expensive than the big box stores, but once you try it, you will see that up to now you have been potting your plants in the soil equivalent of juiced-up concrete (I'm looking at you, Miracle Grow.). But be careful: if you plant *one* plant in this potting soil, every other potted plant in your house will start whining at you to repot them as well. And if you have as many plants as I do, you will be reordering this soil every week.
I am far from having a green thumb, and although I have plants around my house they usually just barely survive (and definitely aren’t thriving). I tried Mother Soil though and it’s given new life to all my plants. Sharing a before and after of one that, within just a few days, seemed like it was a completely new plant - healthy and vibrant. All my house plants use Mother now and despite my lack of green thumb, it’s been a game changer!
I was intrigued when I saw an ad for this soil and decided to give it a try. Every plant I’ve used Mother Soil with has thrived! Even my calathea is loving being in Mother Soil (with ambient humidity) with no signs of stress or crisping. It’s also great for top-dressing your plants too!
I’ve already ordered 2 more bags!
My plant was gifted to me and arrived looking beautiful but within a month started to droop and lose its color, even had leaves start to turn brown. Within just a couple of weeks (if that) my plant came back to life - it was amazing!
I repotted as many plants as I could with Mother and those are visibly healthier. The soil was easy to work with, and my plants took to the soil nicely, and I already have new growth on a plant that has not any in over a year!
I’ve used Mother with several of my favorite plants, and they all are thriving! I’m getting new growth from nodes that I didn’t expect new leaves from, and they just look really healthy. Mother soul has benefitted both recently propagated babies and well-established plants that needed reporting and more nutrition. I really like that I don’t have to think about fertilizing my plants! The fact that it’s far more climate-friendly and sustainable than soils I’ve used in the past is icing on the cake.
I used Mother soil on my mint and basil plants. I'm super happy with the results so far. This time the plants look super healthy compared to previous times I've tried growing them with store bought soil. I feel I'm in good hands and needless to say, I'm a happy customer!
The soil looked very dark and rich. Also seems to hold moisture very well. Both of my plants are doing beautifully. I used a little bit for a third plant, but I hadn’t received enough to really tell if that made a specific difference. I had been really worried that my plants were dying, but now they are doing just great! I am hoping to get more soil soon to help revive one of my peace lilies.
